Mark Hill’s “English Teachers” offer language services such as English courses, translations and interpreting for companies and private clients.
After getting his Economics degree at the University of Lancaster in 1989, Mark Hill started to work in the financial services sector in London before moving to Sardinia. He was Director of Studies at The British School of Cagliari for ten years, after which he founded “English Teachers,” in 2005.
Even though he has been teaching English for over twenty years, his lessons and ideas are as fresh and innovative as ever.
He holds both the Cambridge CELTA certificate and the Trinity College Diploma for teaching English to second language learners.

Publications
His poetry has been published in The UK Poetry Library’s Top Writers of 2012 and the Live Canon 2013 Prize Anthology. He was highly commended in the 2015 Segora poetry prize and he was short-listed for the Canon 2015 First Collection Prize. In 2016 one of his poems was commissioned, published and performed at The Victoria and Albert Museum, London, for the anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. “154 New poems, by 154 contemporary poets… in response to Shakespeare’s 154 sonnets” Published in celebration of Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary. Contributing poets include: Mark Hill. His debut novel “Mitchell Rose and The Bologna Massacre” will be published by Wallace Publishing in 2024. Highly commended in the Munster fool for poetry chap book competition 2023.
In 2024, Mark was published in DREICH and in The Pierian.
Multimedia work
He has written 2 pieces of courseware for remote English learning for Teknofor. He performed the voice-over for “Great” one to five by Mariagrazia Bertarini, Eli publishing editions for primary schools.
